In our December Meeting I had the pleasure to pass out awards to our Firefighters. Thanks again to all of our volunteers!
Special awards went to Phillip Nelson for all the hours he spent driving the ambulance, to Pete Schaus for lots of things and especially for the Wildland Grant he scored for all of us, and to Corry Johnson who is the Firefighter of the year 2006!
We still have not received the results from the Fire Academy (UFRA) for the Wildland FF1 tests – but it looks as we will have 9 certified Wildland firefighters within a few weeks.
As of today we have 6 of our firefighters signed up for Winter Fire School (UFRA) in St. George – some of the Training Classes we have signed on to have not been confirmed, yet, which means there could still be changes.
Budget wise we’ll need 3 rooms and the expenses for the entire training should be similar or less than in the past years.
